Are you a dreamer? No, seriously, are you? The Word of God encourages us to dream. Even though we could never come close to imagining what God can do for us. Ephesians 3:20 says, "Now to him who is able to accomplish far more than all we ask or imagine, by the power at work within us."
Dream is defined as "a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep." What I discovered in my study of the Word is that God speaks through dreams. This is just one way God chooses to communicate with us. There are many instances of dreams occuring in the Bible. One example is in the book of Genesis, Joseph, the son of Jacob, has a dream in which he sees himself ruling over his brothers. This dream turned out to be what is called prophetic, and Joseph eventually became the second most powerful man in Egypt.
Another dream example is in the book of Daniel, where the prophet interprets the dreams of King Nebuchadnezzar. These dreams revealed important messages about the future of the kingdom and helped shape the course of history. One other example is in the Book of Matthew, we see how God protected Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus through dreams, warning them of danger and giving them guidance. God uses dreams to reveal hidden truths, to warn us of upcoming events and to give us guidance and direction in our lives.
Today, I dare you to dream. I dare you to pray and ask God to speak to you in your dreams. I dare you to ask God to show you His plans for you in your dreams. I dare you to dream about a better life for you and your family. I dare you to dream about that love relationship you desire. Our dreams can manifest into reality. Some of us are afraid to dream. Fear of change could be a reason. Fear of growth. Who knows the reasons. We can't allow fear to keep us from dreaming. Remember, dreams are our thoughts, things we imagine for ourselves and our heart-felt desires. God made a promise to us. He says in Psalms 37:4 to "Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart." For me, I want to desire the things God desires for me. My prayer is for God to speak to me in my dreams and to show me areas of my life where my desires are not in alignment with His.
But how can we know if a dream is from God? One approach is to pray and ask God for guidance and understanding of the dream. Another is to examine the content of the dream and see if it aligns with biblical teachings and principles. While we may not always understand the meaning of our dreams, we can trust that God is communicating with us in ways that we may not even realize. Whether it's through dreams or other means, let us always be open to hearing the voice of God in our lives.
"Dare to dream, for it is in our dreams that we find the courage to pursue the extraordinary." Be blessed and be a blessing! #Dream #DaretoDream #Desires #Imagine #YourSpiritualTea #NewBlog
