We are living in dark times, y'all! We witness senseless violence everyday if not in person, then we see it on television. Our family members and friends have lost jobs or their lives. People are not just experiencing loneliness but also homelessness. They are trying to push through depression and anxiety. These things and other mishaps can make every single day feel like we are walking in darkness, We need emergency light to guide us out of the dark.
The word of the day reminds us that the Word of God is that LIGHT! Psalms 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path." The Word of God reveals to us who He is in the midst of our darkness. His word enlightens us on what life is about and provides instructions on how we are to live it. In His word we discover how in the darkness we can find peace, joy and contentment. The Word of God is the emergency light that will help us to make sense of the confused ways of this dark world.
