Let me just tell you or remind you that God hears our prayers. It may look like things are not happening but believe me, He is always working things out. One thing we should always keep in mind is that God does not move when we say move. He does things in His timing, when He sees fit.
Trust that a delay doesn't mean we are being denied. Look at the situation and ask if there is something you should be learning. Maybe God is asking us to be patient or maybe He is looking for us to repent of something we did that was wrong. Our sin can prolong our prayers being answered, especially if we have not asked for forgiveness. Think about that for a moment. We should also know that we can have confidence that God hears our prayer. In 1 John 5:14 it says, "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us."
Are we praying in accordance with God's will? Maybe we are praying for something that goes against what God has in mind for us. God tells us that He knows the plans He has for our lives. We don't know the mind of God, but expressing faith in knowing that God will answer is the first step. In 1 John 5:15 it says, "And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him." Prayer is key to communicating with God and it is something we should do even if we are not in need of anything. God wants us to ask Him to intervene in our lives because He knows what is best for us. So, don't stop praying because God hears your prayers.
