Hidden Under Baggage

Updated: Jun 6, 2023

Why are you hiding? God has placed the call. You actually picked up the phone to answer. The moment you realized it was the voice of God you froze. Why? Because this wasn't the first call? You were previously made aware of what God is calling you to do. But you went and hid. You hid amongst what is called the busiest of life. You went and hid at work. You hid at school. You hid behind the weed. You hid behind the drinking. You hid behind the cares of life! You went and hid under the baggage of your marriage. It is time to stop hiding under the baggage! It is time to stop running and take the call. If God is calling you to something, He has already set the provision in place. If God has called you, He has equipped you with the gifts and talents needed. If you lack the wisdom to carry out the call, simply ask Him for it.

Saul had previously been anointed and told that he would be Isreal's king. He went and hid. But God knew exactly where he was hiding. Where are you hiding? God knows. So, stop hiding and walk in your calling. What God has called you to is something that is near and dear to your heart. Your hiding from God - hinders the journey. You stepping up to the plate - builds your faith in God. You are not alone on this journey. Stay close to God and allow Him to lead you. Don't deviate because of what your eyes see or the emotions from the trials that may arise. Scripture: 1 Samuel 10:20-23 NLT - "So Samuel brought all the tribes of Israel before the Lord , and the tribe of Benjamin was chosen by lot. Then he brought each family of the tribe of Benjamin before the Lord , and the family of the Matrites was chosen. And finally Saul son of Kish was chosen from among them. But when they looked for him, he had disappeared! So they asked the Lord, “Where is he?” And the Lord replied, “He is hiding among the baggage.” So they found him and brought him out, and he stood head and shoulders above anyone else." "Therefore they enquired of the LORD further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the stuff." 1 Samuel 10:22 KJV

I love y'all!
