In life, there are countless things we can separate. Take a moment to reflect. Husbands and wives may separate before divorce. A newborn is separated from its mother for cleaning right after birth. We divide men’s sports from women’s. We separate good fruit from the bad. Children can be separated from unfit parents. The list goes on and on, reminding us that life on this side of heaven is full of separations.
But there is one thing that stands above all, something that is absolutely inseparable. In Romans 8:38-39, we are told:
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Did you catch that? Nothing—absolutely nothing—can separate us from God’s love! Through Christ Jesus, God made a way for us to be eternally connected to Him. Even in our sin, His love remains unshaken. Romans 5:8 echoes this: “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Isn't that incredible? Despite everything, God loves us with a love so powerful that it transcends all boundaries. It fills my heart with joy knowing that His love is untouchable. There’s no fear, no force, no circumstance that can sever it.
God's love is an impossible separation.
