Love the Person, Pray About the Sin

The title itself is a hard one to chew. According to the word of God, we are all sinners in His eyes and fall short of His standards. There is but one, past or present that has not sinned, Jesus Christ. Even tempted He still didn’t succumb to sin. But we know every one of us has committed one sin or another. We could take away a lesson from Jesus’ moment of temptation. He used the Word of a God to cast down the temptations from satan. We can do the same.

A sin is a sin and we all have done something God doesn’t agree with and He knew we would.  He tells us in His Word “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭NLT‬‬ As sinners, we don’t have the right to judge or condemn anyone else for their sin. What’s the saying? We don’t have a hell or a heaven to put them. Now, we can be mindful and do what the Word of God says, ““Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” ‭‭James‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬ We get better results if we simply confess and pray for each other. This is a very easy two-step process. There is nothing better to do for someone than to pray for them. If you are aware of a sin that has them tangled, don’t hate or judge them. Instead love that person and pray to God about the sin. In Ephesians 6:18, God tells us to “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.”
