Welcome to the fifth month of the year! It is the time of year when the focus is on mothers. Well, okay at least for the first 12 days it's all about that one day designated as Mother's Day. Oh don't think I'm sour or anything. As a matter of fact, I love it and I get excited! It just might be in my top five favorite days of the year, which definitely includes my birthday. Okay back on track.
I am proud to be a mother! As a teenage mother I never realized the real depth of a mother's love for her child. It is a love that never changes, no matter how old they become or what they do or don't do. It is a love that keeps a mother in prayer. It is a love that extends to the friends who become family after so many years.
The responsibility of being a mother is a major one and one that comes with a lot of lessons. I am pretty sure though they did not come with an instruction manual; we could all write a book on the lessons we learned being a mother.
I pray that you have the best Mother's Day ever!
Luke 2:51: "And his mother treasured up all these things in her heart."
