We are creatures of habit and comfortability. We like doing the same thing the same way for the most part. We enjoy being around people we are familiar with whether they are family, friends or associates. Everybody ain't your friend...LOL. Okay, let's keep going. There are times when we have to move along. We have to leave those we are familiar with and do what God has called us to do. We have to leave the pack! But are you willing to leave those who are not following and obeying God in order to move according to His will for you? Are you willing to be separated, to separate yourself from amongst those holding you back from walking in the way? 2 Corinthians 6:17 says, "Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says th
e Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” Think about when God called Abram out from amongst those who were worshipping other gods. These people were familiar to Abraham, they were family. Did he hesitate to separate himself? No? In his obedience, Abram now called Abraham, left his home, family and friends to walk with God. As a result, God blessed Abraham.
Psalms 1:1-3 says, "Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord , And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper."
Are you willing to leave the pack? Do you want to prosper? Leave the pack!
